Phase 4 was the great innovator in stereophonic sound in the 1960's and 70's. I always loved the unorthodox mixing on the lp's. Great to see them re-released as cd sets. Don't bother to read the reviews by Dan Morgan. He is typical of egocentric music critics who are unable to just listen and enjoy.....Yes, these recordings are full of mixing and balance tricks which really enhance the sound and make it come alive to the listener. I am enjoying these recordings on the 7 channel, 14 speaker, subwoofer and 550 watt amp in my car as much as I did listening in high end audio stores with MacIntosh and Klipsch systems in the 60's! Great conducting from Stokowski, Dorati, Stanley Black and others.
