Love Unscripted has become quite the popular book this year. I remember always seeing it and reading all these great reviews about it but for some reason I just didn't want to read it. But finally, I decided to give it a shot and I'm happy I did.Taryn owns her own bar and enjoys hanging out with her group of friends. She doesn't even really know who Ryan Christensen is;she's heard of him but she's never seen any of his movies. So when she agrees to help him hide from the paparazzi she's not expecting herself to start liking him. She's expecting this rude, obnoxiously rich guy who thinks he's above everyone else but Ryan's not like that at all. And despite the fact that she made a promise not to open her heart to any guy she starts to do it anyway.I really liked Taryn but I have to admit that I hated how perfect she was. Maybe I'm the only one but I like to my characters to have flaws. Well she did have some flaws like she's a bit insecure (who wouldn't be if they were dating a celebrity), and has trust issues but it just seemed like she never really did wrong in anyone's eyes. I don't really know how to explain it but I guess I just didn't feel that connection with Taryn.Ryan is the most sweetest and down to earth guy ever! From the moment Taryn met him, I was in love. He's famous but he doesn't let all of it go to his head. If there's one thing I felt like this book taught me it's to see things through a celebrities eyes. I never really paid attention to how celebrities feel when fans go crazy and the paparazzi is always following them around but after reading this book I have a soft spot for them. It's really hard and Ryan doesn't have a personal life any more. Everything he does, everywhere he goes there's somebody following him.I loved Taryn and Ryan's relationship but it definitely had a lot of bumps in the road. But it was great to see them really try to make things work. They go through so much stuff and a few times I was questioning if they could get passed it. At times, I even had tears in my eyes for them. It's crazy how one little action can cause so many other things to happen.Another thing I had a problem with is the author's writing. First, this book is extremely long and yet it always felt like she was rushing through the scenes. I felt like the book could have ended probably half way into the book but at the same time I don't really mind that she stretched it out. What I didn't like was how for me, there wasn't enough details. A lot of times she would start off a scene and then suddenly she would move on to another scene and it left me wishing she would've said more. For instance, she talks about going to a movie premiere and I thought that would've been fun to read about but all she writes up to is getting out the car and waiting for Ryan and then suddenly it's like three days later. And this happens a lot and it's pretty frustrating.Despite the few things I didn't like about the book I'm really happy I gave this book a chance. It took me a while to finish it but it definitely kept my attention throughout the whole time. I can't wait to start reading the second book Love Unrehearsed!
