Wow!This particular book covers every imaginable aspect of ONLINE book marketing. Steve has a very readable style of writing and covers in good detail the importance of blogging and how to blog, how to get started blogging, how to find help blogging, and several examples to learn from. Myspace is thoroughly discussed as well, with several interesting tactics (all ethical of course) on gaining popularity there as well. I especially enjoyed his section on author websites, where he gives real life examples of successful websites of authors who pioneered the internet D.I.Y. (Do It Yourself) method of gaining huge followings on the internet. Of course Amazon is also covered; from Listmaina to "So you want to" guides and all points in between. The bottom line is that this is a very well written book that covers a lot of ground and gives you no small amount of help and encouragement as you go.I would have liked to have seen a cohesive book marketing plan. I was thoroughly impressed with all of the information, but stepping back it gets a bit overwhelming on what to do first and what to do in what order with the rest. Being a book on marketing, even the most basic of guidelines of "pick any of these things to start with, and then do these things over here" would have helped. That being said however, the techniques herein are indeed cutting edge however, so if you are looking for a book specifically on marketing your book over the internet you will not go wrong with this book.Additionally:This is one of the best books to date on online book promotion, and it ill be very hard to beat (until S.W. comes out with a workbook and 6-month "hands-on" coaching program). From Amazon techniques of maximizing your books exposure to social networking, this book covers the ins and outs, the strengths and weaknesses of all things online (book marketing). What sets this book apart is the writing style and ease of implementation of ideas set forth. S.W. covers a lot of ground in this book, and therefore he can't possibly go in detail as much as I would like, but he encapsulates the most effective techniques of online book marketing while making them sound fun and (dare I say "interesting?").Face it: Writing books is (almost always) infinitely more fun than hawking them to an unsuspecting public. People are bombarded with advertising messages every day. What you learn here is how to make your (advertising) message sound interesting and even pleasant or informative, rather than yet another clarion bell or siren screeching through the crowd. But more important is that S.W. shows you how and why certain techniques (like blogging and social networking) actually help sell books, and how and when the DON'T. You will learn as much to avoid doing here as you do on what to implement.Amazon is constantly improving itself, making tiny changes here and there, and therefore some of the techniques you read in the book will no longer be 100% relevant, but that does not mean that they do not still work, or even add to the whole of your marketing campaign.for best results, it really is best to read through this entire book once, and then immediately go through it again; one chapter at a time, mastering (or avoiding) each technique before moving on to the next. This will take you a while (probably a year), but the return on your investment in time and energy will be worth far more than the book ever cost you. You may even become famous. All that for under twenty bucks? Sounds good to me!Thanks for reading
